First-hand study information, extensive counselling services for parents, live experiments and laboratory tours: Prospective students can find out interesting facts about studying and the courses on offer in geography, maths, physics, chemistry, computer science, engineering and economics at TU Bergakademie Freiberg's Campus Day.
Between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., school pupils can seek advice in the new university library / lecture theatre centre (Winklerstraße 3, 09599 Freiberg) in their search for a suitable degree course. Prospective students can find out what it's like to sit in a real lecture theatre during the course presentations. Afterwards, they can ask the professors any questions they have about studying and the degree programmes directly during 'speed dating'. Lecturers, students and student initiatives will also be on hand to answer questions.
"Our campus tour gives pupils a good overview of the university and what it has to offer in terms of studying and life. New this time is the ecological campus tour, which introduces prospective students to the campus from the perspective of our geoecology students," says Helen Böttcher from the Campus Day team. "The Campus Day is ideal for making an informed decision about your studies and getting an authentic impression of TU Bergakademie Freiberg."
